How I got here
I grew up in California and served in the U.S. Army. I hosted morning radio. Then I went to sea as an assistant cruise director and later as a fine art auctioneer, where I learned how to price, negotiate, and read a room. I married my wife, Deanna, in 2000. We raised our two kids here in Central Florida. In 2001 I started selling real estate full time in Central Florida, and it's been my full-time work ever since.
Flying is my passion, not my job
I earned my pilot's license in 2003 and later my commercial license. I fly float planes, bush planes, planes on skis, and helicopters, for the love of it. I also served as a director at Kissimmee Gateway Airport, and for a time my real estate office sat right on the field.
Flying changed how I look at land. From the air, you see what a street view hides: where the water drains, what's being built next door, how far the "quiet lot" really sits from the highway. I still use that eye when I check a property for a client.
Off the clock
I love science and the weather. I'm on the water every chance I get, boating and water skiing. Home is our St. Cloud acreage, with my bull Vader, who thinks he's a big dog, my donkey Ranger, and my dog Captain. I never get tired of Florida's wildlife and its long coastlines.
That time on the lakes and my eye on the weather carry into my work. When we talk about lakefront homes, flood zones, or storm prep, I've been watching those things for years.
What working with me looks like
- Straight answers first. HOA and CDD fees, short-term rental zoning, flood zones, and what the payment really looks like. You hear it before you fall in love with a house.
- Buyers: I check the things a listing leaves out, before you write an offer.
- Sellers: You see the comps and the full plan up front. My 39-day guarantee has conditions, and I put them in writing.
- Investors: Zoning comes first. I verify every address before you buy.
